With the world going crazy over NFT’s and teens becoming millionaires, what we have learnt in the recent weeks is that crypto and NFT’s aren’t everyone’s cup of tea.
Getting NFT into Hollywood from Dubai
However, this firm based in Dubai, the Decentralised Funding Group (DIG) has partnered with Bron Studios to create a Hollywood NFT linked to a much-anticipated film sequence in an effort to fund Hollywood. Now that’s one way of putting funds into Hollywood without actually being a producer.
Bron Studios is a worldwide and critically acclaimed media and leisure firm that has garnered 32 Academy Award nominations and 6 wins. It has produced over 100 movies and recently collaborated for the famous names such as Home of Gucci, Joker, Fatherhood and Greyhound.
DIG revealed its foray into Hollywood on the NYC, NFT Week 2022, which wrapped up in New York on June 23. DIG and its GameFi subsidiary, the Miami-based metaverse gaming firm XYZZY.
Where to buy the NFT?
XYZZY will likely be creating a a mix of 10,000 NFT’s to accompany Bron’s latest launch, an eight-episode animated film sequence known as ‘Gossamer’, primarily based on a novel by critically acclaimed writer Lois Lowry. The voice over will likely be led by Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker, Thomasin McKenzie, Vera Farmiga, Richard E. Grant,Wilmer Valderrama, Alanna Masterson and Courtney Rosemont. XYZZY’s assortment of NFTs will likely be voiced by these Hollywood stars.
“This is going to herald the futurization of film and television, and we will be reinventing how audiences engage with content in the filmmaking world. This is a new era for Hollywood, and we will be developing new financial architecture and interfaces born out of Web3 thinking, which include innovations like tokens, gamification, metaverse compatibility and the like,” said Haydn Snape, DIG CEO.
Within two hours, the free Gossamer Seed collection of 10,000 NFTs had sold out, making the collection already a highly anticipated commodity.
“NFTs are going to revolutionize the movie business, and we are the ones best suited to help make that happen. This is an NFT project big enough for the big screen,” said Aaron L Gilbert, Chairman and CEO of BRON Media Corp.
