Good News for EV Adventure seekers: Explore those remote areas with Rivian’s EV chargers.

Rivian expands its EV charger network in remote areas to push your long drives further through Rivian’s Adventure Network Charging stations. It opened three DC fast charging EV chargers last month. Why is this important? For starters, there are plenty of EV charging stations in the US in developed areas, mainly cities. But EV cars have always been somehow limited as there aren’t EV charging stations in the remote areas where you could go for adventure.

This is where Rivian Automotives – The all-electric truck company comes in.

They pride themselves in making Expandable Electric trucks (R1T) that can provide a complete solution combined with providing EV charging stations in those remote locations so you can push your EV rides further without thinking twice how to get back home. Most EV cars run out of charge, limiting drivers to stay within the city limits.

The first one they opened was in Colorado as part of it’s Rivian Adventure Network and these Rivian EV fast chargers can now add around 140 miles extra to your R1 EV truck in just 20 minutes.

Previously they had installed 4 DC Rivian specific EV chargers in Salida, bang in the middle of Colorado in the Arkansas River Valley which is quite popular for a lot’s backpackers, adventure seekers to camp for a variety of river activities. In addition, they have four Level 2 Waypoints chargers that’s is compatible with for all EV cars.

So, no more worries as the locations are picked with only one aspect in mind. That’s providing more adventure to your EV journey.

Other strategic spots for Rivian EV chargers include departure points for the mountains, deserts and canyons. They are also looking to add on those highways so the EV driver can push their beloved long drives further.

The other two new fast EV chargers are in California’s US 395 in the town of Inyokern near the Death Valley National Park and King’s Canyon.

While Tesla’s have been dominating the EV market, it’s difficult not to keep your eyes open for the Rivian Automotive brand as they make a niche that has not been explored by the EV’s come alive, i.e. Off road Adventures
