Read on to know the best new TV shows streaming this week on Netflix and Hulu. Needless to say that the popular choice  by many is the much awaited second part of Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 2. But there is plenty of other choices as well.

For starters, there are second seasons of two acclaimed comedies to check out, along with the debut of a new action thriller starring Chris Pratt. There’s a new comedy special to check out and a new series of animated shorts based on a hit Disney film. Let’s look what they are shall we? But before that I would like to give credit to John Callaham for his research and post.

Best new streaming TV shows this week

Stranger Things Season Four Volume 2 (Netflix)

Hopper is escorted by two prison guards in stranger things season 4

The hottest TV show of the year (so far, at least) left us waiting a few weeks ago to complete Season 4. Now, we will finally get to see the final two “episodes”, each about 2 hours on Netflix. Are you excited or a Stranger things fan?

Netflix continues to be the main premium streaming service, with over 200 million worldwide subscribers.

Only Murders In The Building Season Two (Hulu)

Hulu debuted this surprise streaming hit show in 2021, and now it’s returning for a second season. As before, it centers on three true crime fans (Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez) who all live in the same New York City apartment building, and who attempt to solve murders that happen in that setting, much to the chagrin of the NYPD. The second season sees this trio actually getting arrested for a new murder. What happens now? We don’t know yet but we do know there will be some big guest stars this season, including Amy Schumer and Shirley MacLaine.

Hulu offers not only thousands of movies and TV shows to stream, it also has original shows and films like The Handmaid’s Tale.

The Terminal List Season One (Amazon Prime Video)

Chris Pratt seems to be everywhere in the entertainment world of late. He stars in the recent film Jurassic World: Dominion and will reprise his role as Star Lord in Thor: Love and Thunder later in July. Before that happens, he also stars in this action thriller series for Amazon Prime Video. He plays James Reece, a former Navy SEAL who is still dealing with his final mission, where his entire platoon was murdered, except for him. He can’t seem to fully remember what happened on that day, and now he wants some answers.

Amazon Prime Video affords entry to 1000’s of flicks and TV reveals to stream.

The Upshaws Season Two (Netflix)

Netflix debuts the second season of this traditional family sitcom this week. Mike Epps, Kim Fields, and Wanda Sykes (who also co-created the show) return as the main members of this extended blue-collar family in Indianapolis.

Baymax Season One (Disney Plus)

Baymax, the lovable medical robot who turned into a superhero in Disney Animations Studio’s surprise movie hit Big Hero 6, is back with a new series of animated shorts on Disney Plus. This series focuses on Baymax’s day job as a nurse robot, as he tries to help humans in his own interesting way.

Man Vs Bee Season One (Netflix)

Rowan Atkinson is back! He is a true UK comedy institution, thanks to his own creations for TV like the show Black Adder and, of course, the nearly silent Mr. Bean. He’s also been in movies such as Love Actually and his own Johnny English spy parody films. Now, he stars in a new Netflix series as an ordinary man named Trevor.

Loot Season One (Apple TV Plus)

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Maya Rudolph stars in this new Apple TV Plus comedy series. She plays the wife of a massively wealthy tech company founder who discovers he’s been having an affair. She divorces him, gets a whopping $87 billion settlement, and then decides to become more involved in her charitable foundation, much to the chagrin of the foundation’s employees. Its quite hilarious but interesting at the same time.

Apple TV Plus has shortly develop into a significant participant within the streaming sport since its launch in 2019.
